After early leadership roles with Corporate Express and Foodbuy, Joe transitioned to healthcare following the loss of both of his parents in 2005. He went on to hold several executive leadership positions, including Chief Supply Chain Officer at Intermountain Healthcare, where he helped build one of the industry's most respected supply chain organizations and contributed to the team earning Gartner's #1 Healthcare Supply Chain ranking. He later served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Pensiamo, supporting the commercialization and growth of UPMC's supply chain services platform. In 2018, Joe founded Supply Chain Sherpas with a vision of helping healthcare organizations solve complex operational challenges through practical expertise, collaborative partnerships, and leadership development. Under his leadership, the firm has supported health systems, suppliers, and healthcare-focused organizations across the country in achieving meaningful and sustainable improvements.
